On the Wednesday concert Kathryn and Katherina will perform pieces by Haydn, Kodaly, Honegger and Mozart. On the Saturday concert Kathryn and Katherina will perform pieces by Bach, Ravel, Beethoven, Martinu and Händel/Halvorsen.

There will be two concerts over the New Year period. The first, on December 27, 2008, will be performed by Fritz Moscher, Cello and Julian Riem, Piano. This concert will consist of sonatas by Valentini, Wellesz, Beethoven and Brahms.

Who would choose to go to Liverpool in cold and damp December? But that is exactly what ten of the Amigos de Musica did last week when they joined the sell out charity concert arranged by the respected and internationally famous concert pianist Kathryn Stott to celebrate her 50th Birthday at Liverpools Philharmonic Hall.

Throughout his life, Franz Liszt burned the candle at both ends. A child prodigy who became the greatest keyboard virtuoso of his time he was also a prolific composer. An indefatigable traveller, a friend of Berlioz, Schumann, Chopin and Wagner, his life was full of incident and romance and he was drawn to women.

Marc Grauwels, the world famous Belgian flautist, will give two concerts. The first with guitarist Yves Storms will consist of pieces by Giuliani, Mozart, Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos and Ravi Shankar. The second with Jöelle Hanssens-Grauwels will have pieces by Telemann, Emannuel Bach, Drouet, Debussy and others.

Jack Liebeck will be making his third visit to the Centro Cultural.  He will be accompanied by the very talented Russian pianist, Katya Apekisheva.
